Christmas time is almost here and everyone is starting to bring out their Christmas decorations and put up their trees. This year I noticed a tree unlike any other, it was hanging upside down. I have never seen or heard of anyone hanging a tree upside down before until I seen this one.

Legend has it that during the 7th century, a monk spent time in Devonshire teaching the word of God. When teaching he liked to use props to help give a better illustration. He used the triangular shape of the fir tree to describe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that makes up the Holy Trinity. By the 12th century, the fir tree was being hung upside down from ceilings as a symbol of Christianity during Christmas time.
